Licensed Professional Counselor, EMDR Certified Consultant
Joanna L. Pierce, M.A.
Licensed Professional Counselor, EMDR Certified Consultant
I specialize in trauma, PTSD, anxiety, and life transitions, with advanced training in EMDR therapy. I work with adults, teens, and couples who are ready to move through pain rather than around it — and who want a therapist who will be honest, warm, and fully present with them.
My approach is collaborative and tailored to you. I don't believe in one-size-fits-all therapy. Together, we'll draw from evidence-based methods — including EMDR, CBT, and attachment-based approaches — to build something that actually fits your life.
Outside the therapy room, I'm a reader, a slow-morning person, and someone who believes strongly in the power of being in nature. I bring all of who I am to this work — and I welcome all of who you are.

Nikeylah Pickens, LMT
Licensed Massage Therapist
I believe that healing happens in the body as much as the mind. My work as a massage therapist is grounded in the understanding that physical tension and emotional stress are deeply connected — and that releasing one often opens the door to releasing the other. I specialize in therapeutic and relaxation massage, myofascial release, and somatic approaches that support trauma recovery. I work closely with our therapy team to offer integrated care for clients navigating anxiety, chronic stress, and trauma. My sessions are tailored to each individual — whether you're seeking relief from physical tension, support during a difficult life transition, or simply a space to slow down and reconnect with your body.

My focus areas include grief and loss, depression, relationship challenges, and men's mental health. I work with individuals and couples who are navigating some of life's most difficult passages and are ready to find a new way forward.
I draw from a blend of cognitive-behavioral, narrative, and somatic approaches, always following the client's lead. I believe healing happens in relationship — and I take the trust you place in me seriously.
When I'm not in session, you'll find me cooking, hiking, or spending time with my family. I believe a full life outside the office makes me a better therapist inside it.

Resident in Counseling
Oluwaseyi Onamakinde, M.A.
Resident in Counseling
I specialize in working with children, adolescents, and families, with a particular focus on anxiety, school-related stress, identity development, and family transitions. I'm also passionate about supporting the mental health of first- and second-generation immigrants.
My therapeutic approach weaves together play therapy, mindfulness-based techniques, and family systems work. I meet clients where they are — whether that means talking, drawing, or simply sitting together in silence.
Outside of work, I love cooking, reading literary fiction, and exploring local farmers markets. I find that staying curious about the world makes me a more present and creative therapist.

What to expect
Starting therapy can feel daunting. Here's what working together actually looks like, it's as easy as 1-2-3!!!
Your first session
We take it slow. The first session is about getting to know you — your story, your goals, and what you're hoping therapy can offer.
Building a plan together
After a few sessions, we'll talk about what's working and shape a direction that feels right for where you are.
Ongoing, at your pace
Therapy isn't a race. We move at the pace that feels safe and sustainable for you — and we check in regularly to make sure it's still serving you.
Ready to take the first step?
Reaching out is often the hardest part. I'm glad you're here.
